Hi - I'm not Italian, but a Kiwi (New Zealander) early retired to Italy with hubby. Both of us have been in IT since 1971 so feel free to ask questions about Fortran and Cobol!! :flowers:

Been doing Project Management and Business Analysis past 35 years, so am used to ringing up the helpdesk with any problems, but not getting my hands dirty :trumpet: therefore a complete newbie to the technical side of things!

Now am cast out to the wilderness (idyllic countryside with BB) and just getting to grips with what's going on inside a computer. Run a Packard Bell desktop and a Dell laptop, fortunately, since I've just infected the desktop with a trojan. Hence to bc - found you guys on google with search of the trojan name.... like a light in the dark, I registered immed.

I will now follow all the instructions on the 'Infected with adware or trojan' page before posting if I still have a problem.

Oh and lol tg1911 I will read New user Orientation and Tutorials (promise)

"Been doing Project Management and Business Analysis past 35 years."
I have not been at it as long as you, but share your occupation; it's fun attending meetings all day and assigning work you don't have to do yourself! Flowcharts R Us.
COBOL full steam ahead, and
Welcome to BC!
Regards,
John

Thanks for the welcome, John.

Unfortunately, the meetings and assigning work to others has not prepared me well for diagnosing and removal of malware/trojans.... which is what has bought me to bc. Have been offline while disinfecting the desktop, but have posted a HJT for advice... am very glad to have located this forum, a wealth of advice and help out there.

And I did start very young :-)
