I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but I can't find anyplace on AOL (suprise) to help me and I've always gotten such great help here.
Anyway, the problem is that when my computer (using XP home version) comes up, I get two error messages; one says that DLL WildTangent can't be found, and the other says that DLL DeadAIM can't be found (I tried deleting these two programs and it doesn't help). Then, when my son tries to use AIM, he gets a message that the system has encountered a problem and then just shuts AIM completely.

Does anyone know what might be causing the problem or if there's a board anywhere to ask questions about AIM?

thanks,
Karen

Wild Tangent is a spyware program. Don't know if it came bundled with DeadAim but its entirely possible. You need to run AdAware & Spybot, and it would be a good idea to post a log in the HiJack This forum here. Read this first. AOL wouldn't help you because they know what DeadAim is and its not really their problem.

Out of curiosity, did you delete the programs in Safe Mode?
