I wonder if anyone could help me, I am trying to install ubuntu 7.04 onto my PC that is currently running windows. I downloaded the ISO from ubuntu.com and burned to cd, when i rebooted the machine i got the following message:

CRC Error

System halted.

Can anyone help? I tried reburning the disc and downloading 6.06? but got the same problem. I have just ran memtest86 but it didnt find any errors.

Thanks in advance

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
