I have a problem with my printer. I can't tell my printer to remember my color settings. I'm using HP PSC 1600 series printer. I want to use black and white color only, not color. Can anyone tell me how to keep this settings? All I need is black and white no color. It's a USB Printer connection.

Here is the general way for hps:

Start > all programs > control panel > Printers and other hardware > printers and faxes> right click, properties on the printer you want to change, Advanced tab,>printing defaults, Color tab, check the print in grayscale box, click apply, click OK.
The name says it all -- 59 and holding permanently

Oh thanks, but I figured it out already because I just remembered now how to change the color configuration. The problem was I needed to go to the icon on the taskbar double-click on the HP PSC 1600 Series icon go to printing settings and go to the color tab and change it from there, but thanks for your help though.
