Changing Os From Win98 To Winxp

is the procedure the same when you install winxp when you reformat? any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it installs much the same way. If you are planing the move from W98 to XP I would recommend you do a Quick Wipe instead of a simple format and install. There is a simple free utility, Kill Disk that will wipe your drive with little hassal.
One more though. If you make the move make sure you have enough memory to run XP. I have found the on older P-II and P-III computers 512mb of RAM is about right. IMO
