I installed SQL Server Express along with some other software that I actually needed. Then I had all sorts of problems, including an update from MS auto-update that wouldn't install; but MS auto-update continued to harass me to install it. That seemed to have let to problems shutting down my machine.

I've only been able to partly uninstall it through the control panel (add / delete programs). Is anyone familiar enough with SQL Server to advise me on getting rid of it some other way ... or know of a utility that can get rid of it safely?
