Audio Problem

Hi...I'm new in here. I am getting a wierd crackling noise when I play any internet sound. Any sound files on

my PC play fine but when i try to play any web content i get this. Its not a distortion of the sound its like its

generated noise.... any ideas?

Just to clarify...I do not hear the sound file on any web page...just a cracklin sound....all sound files on my pc play fine like in I tunes etc...
