HI all.I'm new here and have a question to ask:

I have a new icon in the task bat which flashes between being a white-framed, blue circle with a white '?' in it's center and a no smoking sign without the cigarette in it (a red circle with a slash through it)

every five minutes or so a pop-up bubble will appear saying 'System Alert' and says that I have many active spyware threats in my system. Clicking the bubble or the icon - even using right-click - takes me to a website for 'Spylocked' an anti-spyware program which is obviously fake.

There have been nil ill effects to the computer as far as I've oticed but the pop-up bubble is getting really annoying as when it comes up iy disables the window your using until you click on that window once more.

Can anybody help?

THere are some issues with the Smitfraudfix and the developper is presently working on it. We are trying to compile a user friendly way to surpass the issues. Please follow the threads and I or somebody else will post back
