Reformatting

I need to reformat my computer.
Windowx XP (sp2) home
have external hard drive
i'm scared!!!!!

Connect your hard drive to the computer. Go into My Computer and right click on the desired drive. Select Format. Select the desired settings, like NTFS, and format away.

i want to reformat. clean out my c:/ drive and reinstall windows.

Boot with your XP CD. It will allow you that option. If youwant to completely destroy the data that is on there right now, use Kill Disk. The basic version is free and you can get the CD or floppy version. Works very good.
