Well, I somehow ended up with what I think is isaddon.dll. I have run Norton AV, Adaware, Spybot, and SmitRem. I don't think that any of this has fixed the problem since Internet Explorer will randomly open pop-ups, and occasionally a pop up will open in Firefox. I'm not quite sure what's wrong, and I'm kind of upset that nothing has fixed it...

Here's my latest HijackThis file. Any help would be much appreciated, and thank you!

Hello,

* Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), it should open a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.

Hello,

First of all,
* Please download the Suspicious File Packer from here:
http://www.safer-networking.org/files/sfp.zip
Unzip it to the desktop and run it.

Paste the following bold part into the Suspicious File Packer window:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\iiaibydp.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nissstyt.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\teinuthl.dll

Allow SFP to pack the file. This will generate a CAB archive on your desktop.
Go to this page.
Enter the url of this thread in the first field. In the comments field, type: "Undetected Conhook files"
Then,
Where it says, browse to the file that you want to submit, click the browse button next to the second field and browse to the CAB archive that was been created on your desktop.
The cab file will be called requested-files[*].cab (the * stands for the date and hour).
Then click the Send File button below.

Then after you submitted the requested-files[*].cab, delete it.

Also delete next files present in your system32-folder:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\iiaibydp.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nissstyt.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\teinuthl.dll

Also delete the C:\Qoobox-folder, since this folder contains a backup of the files Combofix deleted, and we don't need these backups anyway.

Then, Go to next site:
http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html
On top you'll find 'Browse'
Click the browse button and browse to next file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\COH_Mon.sys

Click open.
Then click the 'Send' button next to it.
This will scan the file. Please be patient.
Once scanned, copy and paste the results in your next reply.

Your HijackThislog looks clean again, another important thing you should do as well though..

Your version of Java is outdated and needs to be updated to take advantage of fixes that have eliminated security vulnerabilities.

  • Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
    - Examples of older versions in Add or Remove Programs:
    • Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0

  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.

I'm updating java and getting rid of the old versions. Is there anything else I need to know, or should fix? If not, thank you SO much for helping me out!

haha, yeah, those are songs. I sometimes use my computer as an alarm, so I set songs to play at different times.

Right now it seems like the problem is fixed. I no longer have Internet Explorer/Firefox opening with random pop-ups.

Thank you so much for helping me out!
