First go into the C:\ and create a folder name SCANNER. Move the scanner software there. Next open the folder containing the software and WinZip. Drag&Drop the file from the SCANNER folder into the WinZip application, the click on the EXTRACT button. It will create and uncompress the files into a folder in will create in the Scanner folder.
Look for the Setup.exe file in the uncompressed files and double click it. This should start the installation process.
NOTE: I you are installing a USB scanner do not connect the USB till prompted to do so by the installation program.

Go to the device manager and delete the USB card. Reboot your computer and allow Windows to re-install it.
