Hello there and welcome to BleepingComputer. My name is Charles and I will be dealing with your log today.
Scan again with HijackThis and put a checkmark next to the following entry (if present):

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.cbssportsline.com/

Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix checked button.

Reboot and let me know if this has helped.
Thanks,
Charles

Thank you for the information, and attempt to fix my homepage... unfortunately it did not work. I put in different homepage addresses, and it just kept going back to the cbssports page no matter what.

The log seems the same. The cbssportsline is still there, and nothing seems to have changed within my computer. I have no idea how something so simple I cannot fix. I certainly do not have the experience or expertise with computer issues nearly as much as most of you, but hopefully I do not have to clean out everything. Installing windows again just to have access to be able to pick my homepage is a last option, and not worth the hassle. I tried other steps, and a ran some programs again... still no change. Im out of options... now I will sit back and hope someone has had this issue and can help. Thanks.

Please print off a copy of these instructions, and also save them to a Notepad file on your desktop, so they are easily accessible.
We are going to boot into Safe Mode later in the fix, and there is no internet access.

Please reboot your computer into Safe Mode.
This is done by rebooting Windows and pressing F8 at boot/Windows startup, usually right after the beep.
Then select Safe Mode from the list.
Make sure you choose the option without Networking Support.

Scan again with HijackThis and put a checkmark next to the following entry (if present):

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.cbssportsline.com/

Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix checked button.

Open Notepad and copy and paste the following quotebox into a new text document. (Don't forget to copy and paste REGEDIT4!)

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Start Page" =-

Save this as fix.reg Choose to save as *all files and place it on your Desktop.
It should look like this: Posted Image
Double-click on it and when it asks you if you want to merge the contents to the registry, click Yes/OK.

Reboot back into Normal Mode.

Let me know if this has helped.
Thanks,
Charles

we got a NEW homepage...

http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?p...6.0&ar=home

ONE problem... NOW it is stuck on this PAGE... msn.com

I cannot change it under internet options etc. etc... I type in my address I want as my homepage and it ignores it, and defaults to msn.com

Two things happened here... one bad, one good... good thing is I got a new homepage to come up... bad thing is its a worse page than the cbssports one

Now how can I get total control of the homepage category?

I think we are making progress... I atleast hope this is a better case for one to work on instead of before.

I appreciate the help Charles. Any new ideas?

Two questions:
What version of ZoneAlarm are you using?
What page would you like as your homepage?

I thought that might have been the problem, there is a bug in the older version of ZoneAlarm that will not let you change your homepage.
Great job
