Greetings & Thank You for your existence,

I should start be saying I know little about computers, so I apologize for my ignorance.

About a week ago, I tried to log onto the internet, but was met by a warning that my computer was infected. What looked like some type of scan was going on, and I was ultimately directed to BS - Brave Sentry - an apparent website that would clean my computer for like a $50 download. I smelled a rat and went to Wal-Mart and purchased McAffee Internet Security - hoping that I could install that and fix the problem. It installed partially, but I still had the problem. At this point when I turned the computer on - It would turn itself off several times before booting up. Well now it doesnt come on at all - it just goes to the windows xp logo and then shuts off.

I have been reading similar posts on this sight, however I cant log on to do downloads and autorun checks, etc. I can log on in safe mode, but cant go on-line from there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
