well im retarded or something and i put in my ram backwards on accident i dont know if that matters and than my computer started to smoke and now the monitor wont work....so....dunno.

Yep thats happened to me before. Pretty much you fried the ram, motherboard, or both. Try the ram in another slot, if this still doesn't work try another stick of ram. If this doesn't work your motherboard is most likely fried. Sorry.

OK, now you lost me..... ram only goes in one way, how do you put it in backwards? There is a slot in the ram to keep you from doing that... :thumbsup:

Oh man, I'm glad that wasn't me, the worst I've done is broke a corner of an AGP slot, which I'm still currently working on. Lol.
