Hi

I am pretty much at wits and. I am blindly trying to fix what originated as a Trojan Zlob.M issue.

I downloaded AVG 7.5

I downloade Smitfraudfix by S!Ri

I downloaded ATF Cleaner by Atribune

I rebooted in safe mode ( without networking support)

I reviewed the HiJackThis scan for two files, but they were already deleted on my first attempt to fix this  problem.

I closed HiJackThis

I opened Smitfraudfix

Option #2, enter

Registry cleaning? "Y" enter

And my computer screen goes blank after a few minutes of this I try to reboot and now the :flowers: computer just keeps trying to reboot. I cannot get anything to start...not safe mode ... nothing!

Any thoughts & help are greatly appreciated

I guess what I am looking for is a way to fix what happened after smitfraudfix started or a way to get my data off my hard drive and rebuild the Operating System.

Please help!

The developper of the programm has discovered a small bug in smitfraudfix and is currently correcting it. Please have 1 more day of patience and watch this board since we will be alerting you when it is ready

 Fozzie,

You have given me hope to wait and not find the geek
squad yet. I will wait and watch.

Thank you for this info!

THere are still some issues with the Smitfraudfix and the developper is presently working on it. We are trying to compile a user friendly way to surpass the issues. Please follow the threads and I or somebody else will post back
