I have my computer set to receive automatic updates for my Internet Security Suite, Windows and Microsoft updates. I just noticed this morning when booting up, I had a message about an update for Internet Explorer. So I ran the check for updates at Microsoft. After checking for about 5 minutes an error message appeared, " When accessing the update site 0x80072EE2 or 0X80072EFD error occurred" these may not be the exact wording but basically is. I went to the knowledge base it referred me to (kb836941). There it had a help guide that would automatically fix the error. Download, installed and ran program. Once program completed, I ran update again. Got same error message. Disable my firewall and windows firewall still didn't work. I have no problems updating my firewall, it works very well. Can somebody help? I don't really know how many updates I have missed for my system.

Was this update for IE7?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Read this and if no avail :
Download/install Dial-a-Fix from here:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System...ial-a-fix.shtml
Launch the program, place a check in the box:
'Fix Windows Update'.
Then click on 'GO'.
Make sure you then press:
'Flush SoftwareDistribution'.
Then restart your pc,let me know what happens please.

Thanks alot for replying. I don't know exactly what I did but I got it to work. I added a few update commands, added the site to my trusted site in my firewall, rebooted and disable my firewall and tried it again and it worked perfectly. I also installed IE7, not very knowledgeable about it. I've heard it has glitches. I'll try it for a while. Thanks again.
