I allways used BearShare for downloading music. Somebody told me that it is not 100% safe of spyware, malware, ...ware. Any body knows something about this. it's safe or not?
If not, which software is safe for downloading MP3 file? Thanks.

Almost all P2P programs seem to have spyware. All as well increase your chances of downloading trojans and viruses, so be extremely careful how you d/l files and make sure your antivurus application is up-to-date.

The information I have seen indicates that BearShare does have spyware, but that you can avoid downloading it:

Other P2P programs are also discussed at that site.

Hope this helps,
