Hi .My name is Richard. I found this site by typing the name of what I believed to be a malicious item into I.E> The many entries seems to indicate I was right with my suspicions, as several referenced "How to Remove". I clicked on one, and it took me to bleepingcomputer.com.

I wont post the problem here.

I have been using a computer for word processing and email and internet for maybe 10 years, but when I attended college, I used a portable electric typewriter. PC's had not yet been invented. I had one course in Fortran, and we used punch cards and a giant mainframe.

I am not in the computer field or a techie.

There is a lot I do not know, but should know.

I hope to learn much from this forum. I am also willing to contribute what little knowledge I may have gained by osmosis, if it can help anybody.

My nephew is very conversant with computers, since he started with one in middle school. He is not always patient with explaining things.

Some of us used typewriters (and two carbons to make copies), after actually doing a draft in LONGHAND! Some of us dropped a stack of punchcards and worried about bending them when we picked them up. Somehow we made the happy transition to word processors and spreadsheets.
Welcome to BC!
