Sorry if ive posted in the wrong thread, but can you help.
Since yesterday when i browse the net i get annoying pop ups. Not porn or anything like that just things like insurance, mobile phones dating, etc.

Ive done a complete antivirus scan (using nod32 antivirus) that did not pick up anything. And ive done a spyware scan .(using supperantispyware) this also did not pick up anything.

So i'm not sure where to go from here.

Check your Add/Remove and IE browser addons for anything suspicious. If you don't recognize an addon or program in Add/Remove, Google it before removing or ask about it here.

Run your Super Antispyware and any other security program you have in safe mode for best results. Let us know what you find.

Thanks buddy215.
Sorry its took me a while to get back not been to well.
I took your advice looked in add and remove, and addons, could not see anything out of the ordinary.

Done another scan, nothing, put my pc through spyware, pick up the usual cookies. Rebooted my pc than turned everything off for a day. Than all of a sudden no more popups. So dont know how that came about.

But thanks for your help.

TONY L, is the windows messenger service turned off? (Not MSN Messenger)

Start Control panel Perf & Maint Admin tools Services Click the standard tab scroll down, make sure that Messenger is disabled.
The name says it all -- 59 and holding permanently
