Alright, i don't know exactly where to put this, so here it is.

Okay, i'm using firefox as a browser now, and somehow, everytime a php script is downloaded, it asks me what to do with it. First thing is, what is a php file? i know it has something to do with making web sites and stuffs, but what is it actually?

How do i make it somehow, so that my browser don't display the notice on whether to download php script or not.

I remembered when i just got my pc reformatted, i think there's no problem with the firefox. Now there is.

Thanks =)

PHP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(PHP:Hypertext Preprocessor) is a reflective programming language originally designed for producing dynamic web pages.[1] PHP is used mainly in server-side scripting, but can be used from a command line interface or in standalone graphical applications. Textual User Interfaces can also be created using ncurses.

Do you have an add-on installed like No-Script?

But PHP scripts run on the server; it shouldn't be downloading them at all. Is this happening on a specific site or everywhere?

I think it happens randomly, I'm not very sure when the sites need a php script, but sometimes a notice just pop up, asking whether i want to download the script.

Sometimes, when i post in forums, like this, a notepad would automatically starts, having the title of the notepad, "newreply"

I installed a few addons for firefox,

These are the things listed in the Add-ons tab.

VideoDownloader
FreeDownloadManager
Talkback
and Download bar

I have just uninstalled download bar, cause i think that's the problem. I'm not sure about it, but i think now the pop up don't show anymore. There hasn't been pop ups windows asking me to dl any php script until now, since i've uninstalled the bar. =)

Yes, some kind of download manager sounds like the likely culprit. You can start Firefox in safe mode (there should be a shortcut for this in the start menu) and see if it works fine then.
