I need to upgrade my laptop to run a new software I'm getting. I need a minimum of 1.6 GHZ and a gig of ram. I travel so it needs to be sturdy. I think I should exceed the minimum. I have a dell latitude and like it.

The software I am using is weather software to watch weather patterns so it is visual with moving graphics. I looked at a Toshiba Satellite 3.2 GHZ with a 2gig max ram. The 17" screen will be a nice plus. Are these good CPU's? Most are refurbished units. Also another downside is the 1.5 hour battery life if I am mobile. Should I stick with a dell or go with the Toshiba Satellite.

Anybody you trust to buy laptops off the internet. Somebody reliable?

Or any suggestions on a good laptop?

www.tigerdirect.com is a good place to buy refurbished units.

The satalite is a very nice laptop my brother has one and loves it. HP also makes a good one.
