I am doing my best to follow the instructions set forth by the forum. This is my first post, so I'll do my best to get all of the correct info. I greatly appreciate any help.

I first noticed a problem when my computer started to become sluggish. Windows media player becomes bogged down pretty easy and my computer is running slower than usual. I have used BitTorrent & UTorrent, so the problem could have come from using those programs (I wonder if I have come aross the problems from BitRoll). I had AVG on my computer before, but I recently installed avant! and it shows no current viruses. I have an old version of AdAware, but I can't seem to update it, and the new version I tried to download won't load. I have downloaded the .exe files of the following programs: spybot, spywareblaster, adaware, and registercleaner. I have all of the .exe files, but each time I try to run them a black ms dos type of window pops up and disappears and the program never loads. I have loaded hijackthis and can run it, but I don't know how. I will gladly and quickly run any checks to post here to get help started. Thanks again in advance.

Here is my Hijackthis log:

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis forum dboren23

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri), to your desktop.
Double click on Smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 – Search, by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

********************************

Download SDFix and save it to your desktop.
http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.zip

Please then reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following :

* Restart your computer
* After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
* Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
* Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
* Choose your usual account.

* In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
* Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
* Type Y to begin the script.
* It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
* Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
* Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
* When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
* Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt into your next reply, along with a new Hijackthis log please.

Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE using the F8 method.
To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly.
A menu will appear with several options.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Double click on Smitfraudfix.cmd
Select #2 and hit Enter to delete the infected files.
You will be prompted: 'Do you want to clean the registry?' answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): 'Replace infected file ?' answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process.
The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Post the smitfraudfix report, and a new Hijack This log into your next reply.

Click on Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs and remove/uninstall SystemDoctor 2006 Free if present.
Restart your pc when you've finished.

*************************

Download/install AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5.

Please follow these instructions very carefully.

Launch/start up AVG Anti-Spyware.
On the main page click the 'Update' tab,and then 'Start Update'.
Note:
If you have any problems running the update process prior to running the scan,download/install the 'Full Database' from here:
http://download.ewido.net/avgas-signatures-full-current.exe

Once the updates have been installed,do the following:
Select the 'Scanner' icon at the top of the screen, then select the 'Settings' tab.
Once in the 'Settings' screen, under 'How to act?',then under 'Set default action for detected malware to:', click on 'Recommended actions',then click on 'Quarantine'.
Under 'Reports' select 'Automatically generate report after every scan' and unselect 'Only if threats were found'.
Exit AVG Anti-Spyware,don't run the scan just yet.

You might want to print/copy the following as you need to be in Safe Mode from here on.

Have Hijack This fix the following [If still present], by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [pas_check] C:\Program Files\SystemDoctor 2006 Free\pasmon.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinGuard Pro] nul
O8 - Extra context menu item: &Sample Toolband Serach - res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\ToolBand.dll/MENUSEARCH.HTM

Find and delete if present:
C:\Program Files\SystemDoctor 2006 Free

Still in Safe Mode launch AVG Anti-Spyware.

Please be patient,it takes a while for the scan to finish.

Once the scan is complete,do the following.

Next click on 'Save Report'.
Copy and paste that report into your next reply.
The report can be found under the 'Reports' tab at the top.

I can't seem to install the program. When I click on the setup file, a black command prompt (ms dos prompt) comes up and disappears. Nothing happens after that. It is the same problem I have had when trying to install adaware, spywareblaster, spybot, and regcleaner. I am currently running avast! virus protection, but I have AVG as well (it is currently deactivated). I tried shutting off avast and installing the program, but that didn't work either. Please advise. Thank you for your help so far. I truly appreciate it.

Please run the F-Secure online virus/spyware scan using Internet Explorer:
http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols3.shtml
Follow the directions in the F-Secure page for proper Installation.
Accept the License Agreement.
Once the ActiveX installs,Click ‘Custom Scan’ and be sure the following are checked:
1.Scan whole System
2.Scan all files
3.Scan whole system for rootkits
4.Scan whole system for spyware
5.Scan inside archives
6.Use advanced heuristics
Once the download completes, the scan will begin automatically.
The scan will take some time to finish,so please be patient.
When the scan completes, click the ‘I want to decide item by item’ button.
For each item found,Select ‘Disinfect’ and click ‘Next’.
Click the ‘Show Report’ button, then copy and paste the entire report into your next reply.

******************************

If F-Secure won't work try running 'BitDefender Online Scanner' using Internet Explorer:
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
Read the 'END USER SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT' then click 'I agree'.
You'll be prompted to install the activex control, please do so.
Once installed, disable your current antivirus program, then click the 'Click here to scan' button.
The virus signatures will then load.
Once loaded the scan will start.
The scan will take quite some time so please be patient.
Once the scan has finished select the 'Detected Problems' tab.
Click on 'Click here to export scan'.
Save the file as an HTML file to your desktop.
Then click on the saved file and allow it to open with your browser.
Go to 'Edit'/'Select All' then copy and paste that log into your next reply.
Also post a new Hijackthis log please.
*Note*
Don't forget to re-enable your antivirus program.

******************************

Download\unzip to your desktop AVG Anti-Rootkit Free:

I ran both of the online scans just to be as complete as possible. Here are the results of those scans along with the hijackthis report. As for the AVG Anti-Root Scan: I have a folder lock program and it turned up all of those files, but the only file that showed up that was not associated with that program was:

c:\sccfg.sys,Hidden File

My computer seems to be running pretty well, but I still can't load those anti-spyware programs like adaware, spybotdestroyer, spywareblaster, and registrycleaner. Also, I wonder if I have too many programs loaded/processes running. I wonder if that could help my computer's performance as well. I have deleted/uninstalled any programs I could determine as unnecessary, but I don't know what each of them do. I never found the systemdoctor 2006 under the add/remove programs or at c:\program files\system doctor. Thanks for your help so far! Here is my hijackthis log:

You’ve got AVG7 Antivirus and Avast4 installed.
Not a good idea to have more than one antivirus program installed on your computer.
Each program may interpret the actions of the other as viral, therefore giving you false virus warnings about virus-related activities.
It could also lead to system slowdowns and other problems within the operating system, due to the two conflicting with each other.
You should uninstall one or the other as soon as possible, then restart your pc.

*********************

Click on Start/Run,type CMD then press Ok.
At the Command Prompt copy and paste both the following commands, press Enter after each one:
SC STOP CLTNetCnService
SC DELETE CLTNetCnService
Then type EXIT press Enter again, restart your pc.

*********************

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:
O16 - DPF: {03F998B2-0E00-11D3-A498-00104B6EB52E} - https://components.viewpoint.com/MTSInstall...l?noreloadredir
Exit Hijackthis.

*********************

Go here ond run this online scan using Internet Explorer, fix everything the scan detects:

I uninstalled avast and made sure that AVG was updated.

Here is what happened when I went to the command prompt:

[SC] ControlService FAILED 1062:
The service has not been started

[SC] OpenService FAILED 1060:
The specified service does not exist as an installed service

When I tried to run the online virus scan it closed the web browser. I couldn't load the page or run the scan. The madness continues...

Please download Combofix and save to the desktop:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/Beta/ComboFix.exe
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply, along with a new Hijackthis log please.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.
