Shutting Down

hi all i was wondering if someone coulld help me out, when ever i try and burn an AVI or even back up my son's dvd's in dvd shrink it will shut down my computer. thanks for you time.

Hello and welcome,

It is probably a driver issue, to stop the system restarting, do the following.

1.Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

2.Click the Advanced tab.

3.Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings to open the Startup and Recovery dialog box.

4.Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times.

5.Restart your computer for the settings to take effect.

Then try and burn the disc again, it should show an error message which we should be able to help with.
