Colors From Video On My Computer Are "off".

Whenever I try to play a video on my computer, the color seems to be a little off, almost if someone turned up the brightness a lot. How can I lower the brightness for all video played from my computer without decreasing the brightness on the actual monitor itself?

what program do you use to watch your videos?

it happens with all video players on my computer.
