When I Click To Open A Folder It Opens A Search Box

In win xp home when I click on a folder to view contents either with the mouse or enter key it opens a search box.

This applies to files and folders

MS Windows XP2
mobile AMD Athalon XP2500
446 MB ram
Radeon IGP 320M
HP4560 laptop
