Hello, everyone.

I bought a new laptop about 3 weeks ago and it came with Vista.
Well back then, almost 134 GB of 147 GB of my hard disk space was
available, but now that number has gone down from 134 GB to 116 GB.

Since I purchased my new laptop, I have only installed one major program
(a computer game), Windows Updates, and nothing else. I've tried
deleting the Temporary Files in my Internet folders. But I can't free up
any space. I've tried using Disk Cleaner, as well.

Disk Defragmentor says I do not need to run disk defragment at this time.

Could it be something with clearing up space for System Restore?

Well, thank you very much for your help.

Steve.
What the Bleep are you talking about? Are you Bleepin' kidding me?
You think this is Bleepin' funny?

You'll have to find out what the files are. I'd suggest a search for large files created/modified over the last few days to see if you can narrow it down. I'd suspect System Restore - but you'll have to check to see how much disk space is reserved for it.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion, but how would I conduct the search for large files?

By using Windows Search?

Once again, thank you for your help.

Yep.

When you start the search, notice that you can search for "files and folders" and then you have some additional choices, one of which should be size related.

After the search is complete, you can click on the column heading "size" and it will sort the files in size order - either ascending or descending.

If you still can't figure it out, let us know and we can be more detailed. (Sorry, I don't have my Vista system running right this moment.)

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!
