OK my friend is having an issue with her computer. When she turns it on she gets a message that says "A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer." We tried to system restore the computer and still got the same message. Any suggestion?"

Were there a bunch of numbers with that error message? If so copy them down and post them back here. Can you get into Safe Mode?
