The files are named "Backup_03-30-2007.vbu," "Backup_03-30-2007.vbu.z02," and so forth. I have a Sony Vaio computer and I was wondering if it was something specific to Sony, but I don't see anything on their site either. In any case, if anyone can think of a way to open these files, any help would be most appreciated!

I have the same problem. Did you ever figure out how to correct it?
