Here are some factors to consider when selecting a school:
What are you interested in?
What does the school specialize in? It makes no sense, for example, to attend a school with an excellent engineering program and a mediocre language arts program if your interests lie in language arts.
Are there specific faculty members you would like to study with? Graduate students frequently ask this question especially if they plan to pursue a Ph.D.
Expenses, financial aid, and your resources.
Student support services: do they match what you need?
