Im having problems with my computer. I have a trojan virus, and downloaded the free version of AVG to clean it. I kept getting a kernel error, so I decided to buy Mcaffee 9.0 (or whatever the most recent is) and was trying to download it. My computer told me it was conflicting with the AVG, so I wanted to uninstall the AVG. For some reason, there are two things of AVG installed, so I uninstalled one, and when I try to uninstall the second one, my computer is unable to uninstall it. So, now I have NO virus protection (because the mcaffee wouldnt let me install becuase of the conflict).

Any ideas what I should do?

Welcome glddstgpsy

Please see "How to install/uninstall AVG Free Edition components?"

You can also download and scan with Dr.Web CureIt. Follow the instructions here for performing a scan.
