Windows Server 2003 Not Seeing Clients

i am managing a domain on windows 2003 server. the workstations are seeing the server quite all right but i cant manage(using computer management console) or ping the workstations from the server. i even want to backup some data on the server to a client but it cant find the network part. please i need solutions fast.

Hi fancydude, it may be the firewall on the xp machines turn on file and print and also rdp, that should do it.

winows firewall not turn on.any other suggestions
