Hello everyone
For WindowsXP SP3 users
Just got my computer fixed and found out that when after the mother board screen shows,Windows XP SP3 shows

Basically what i see is a new interface but still its like the combination of vista(using similar icons)&xp (being not animated when you close the windows, programs, etc.)

I also notice that the color of the window has also change including the sides of it
even the taskbar which makes it look good

Question is:
-How do you change the color?/design?
or is it permanent?
-Is anything new in SP3? aside from updates?
-

Where exactly did you get it from?

How can you have an unreleased product on your PC? What you have sounds like Windows Vista Home Basic to me. That is basically XP SP3.

Click on the start menu

Click run (if you have Vista, just type this in the blank area on the start menu)

Type WinVer

This will tell you what version of Windows you have. Let us know what version your PC says you've got.

You know the start button on the bottom of your screen right? Click on it. Now depending on which OS you have, there should be the words run on the menu that opens up. Click it. Then type WinVer.

This will tell you what version of Windows you have.

( hope this clears up the confusion)

Did you download a program called Windows Vista Transformation pack by any chance? This is a free program that makes your PC look like XP SP3.
