Uhh, i've checked with the hijackteam about this problem and the guy there redirected me here. he suspects that its not a malware related problem.

When i double click on a shortcut on my desktop (e.g. itunes) nothing comes up. however, when i right click then click run, the program runs normally. this problem also occurs in the start menu. i have to right click and press open instead of double clicking the icon directly. can anybody advise???

also, when i add the quick launch bar to my windows bar, it will disappear everytime i reboot. i find this quite irritating.

can anybody help with this problem? i suspect its because i accidentally deleted some scripts while deleting flyakiteosx from my computer. thankyou! any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Have you tried a System Restore, to a date before the problems began?

Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore
Put a tick in Restore my computer to an earlier time, and click Next.
Pick a date before the problem occurred, and click Next.

what are the risks involved?

All programs installed after this date will have to be reinstalled.
Anything that was removed after this date, will once again be on your system.
It will restore your system to exactly like it was, on the date that you select.

does that include word documents and saved games? or does it only apply to applications and updates (e.g. firefox updates, msn updates etc etc??)
