Here is my second problem: I have been infected with something. I removed the smithfraud problem directly out of the registry, thinking that this was causing my problems. I am not able to open IE without having at least 4 more pages open up. The if I am lucky to close the other pages, i may have to wait for 1-2 min. to be able to see the page. If I knew what was the problem, I might be able to fix it. Also anytime I try to start Norton Anti virus or System works, something has happened or is making it beleive that it is not installed. My comp want to install the program again. After hitting the cancel button, and after several attempts the program starts. I found that this does not happen in Safe Mode. I have used all my diagnostic programs in safe mode and cannot find anything else after smithfraud.
Please help

Hello Craig Ingle

I removed the smithfraud problem directly out of the registry...

That's not the properl way to remove it. If your using Win XP or 2000, please follow the generic instructions for using SmitfraudFix in BC's self-help tutorial "How to remove the Smitfraud/Generic Zlob".
