Why is it that when I change my search preferences such as the number of items on a page or change the safe search preferences, it only works for that session and the next time I have to redo it? How can I make them permanent until I change them again?
This question won't change life on the planet as we know it, but it drives me crazy.
Thanks for your help.

My guess is that you are using something to erase your cookies. You will need to let it set cookies on your machine, and then you have to check your browser settings and make sure that the cookies aren't being deleted when you close the browser.
