I'm interested in learning a programming language, but I don't know where to start.

I want:
1. Something easy for beginners,
2. Something that won't need a bunch of expensive software,
3. Something that won't require me to take classes (I'm only 13),
4. Something that would be worth my time.

I want to end up writing a Linux OS someday, and maybe a few games, something that would be good for a future high paying job.

You might want to look at this thread:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/1817/what-programming-language-should-i-start-with/

I don't know your skillset, but a very easy introduction to programming (though not technically a programme itself) is to learn HTML. HTML is not difficult (when compared to actual programmes), requires nothing but a browser, and instructions about using it are all over the Internet.
Cheers,
John

The other point that JG was trying to make is that this topic is already discussed in the link that he gave you. Maybe investigate that link?
