Hello everyone,

I'm a computer programmer from Chicago that has been working with the web for about 15 years. I'm an avid gamer and have built multiple home systems (even a PVR for recording Aqua Teen Hunger Force...).

I'm currently programming with .NET 2.0 and can't wait until Beta 2 is released later this year. I've got plenty of experience with computers so i'll be posting on here with plenty of answers!

Well hello and greetings to you too, underwhelmed. to BC. I am sure your knowledge would be helpful around here. :flowers: :trumpet:

Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to work with PHP at all. That was one area that I've wanted to get into, but haven't gotten to yet.

My knowledge base:
  • ASP
  • ASP.NET 1.1 (VB.NET)
  • .NET 2.0 Beta 1
  • SQL Server 2K
  • Some MySQL
  • IIS
  • Javascript
  • Little ActionScript for Flash
  • Probably some more that's not listed here
I'm also interested in learning how to read HijackThis logs since I'm very PARANOID!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome...

underwhelmed,
I'm learning.

HJT analysis, for one thing.
First, let me say don't be paranoid, think rationally. :trumpet:

It really helps to have a dispassionate interest in the way
some software authors practice what they do.

Second, A BIG WELCOME.
90% of the folks posting here drink Java. :flowers:
Which reminds me, I do too.
Think I'll have a cup & consider how to ask you about Javascript writing
as it applies to Chat rooms & such. Hmmm.

How to write a question?
another question, which brings to mind
another question.

Cream or Sugar?
or both?

HA!

I'm not paranoid about reading the HJT logs, just about my computer. I always want to know what's going on with it. I figure just jumping in and getting my feet wet on reading other's logs would be a great place to start. I can then help out the rest of BC!

I already had about 10 cups of Java today so I'm going to move onto the harder stuff pretty soon...muhahahaha

Hey Under--I also :trumpet: I have worked for years on Comp systems-hardware and software-learned programming lanquages that I've forgotten the names of-Once learned C- (not C+ or C++-but C). Anyway, analyzing HJT logs is the hardest because the dirty SOBs are constantly changing their methods and tactics--just like the terrorists do. Welcome to the war!! :flowers:
