It turns on, the green hd and power are on, but only black screen? no login or Bios or Windows Screen?

but it sounds like its working and running

Do you think its the video card?

Not sure if integrated grapphics on MB video (or do all laptops have integrated graphics?)

Let me know

Most of the time when you can't see the screen it is going to be the inverter board. Try to shine a flashlight on the screen see if you can see what is going on.

Do you see the POST screen? Does it have Fn keys that you can enable an external monitor?

But most of the time it's as chapo states - it's a bad LCD.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
