Ok, I'm really hoping someone can help me out. I posted this on section and they suggested I come here.

Here's what has happened:

On march 29th I had AVG Free Edition pop up and tell me I had some kind of worm virus in here. I clicked heal and I assumed it was gone. Well, here I am on April 3rd and it's back again. They are now both sitting in the vault and it says:

Object name: asrchk.exe
Object path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
Discovery: Virus Identified Worm/VB.AWN
Healable: No
Source: Backup copy
Status: Infected

Object name: A0081028.exe
Object path: C:\System Volume Information\restore
Discovery: Virus Identified Worm/VB.AWN
Healable: No
Source: Backup copy
Status: Infected

I have not done a system restore recently. Here is my HiJackThis log. Back in December I had problems with spyware and I had 2 really nice people help me out on this forum. Well, the log looks the same as it did then so I didn't think this would help.

Hi,

I can't see anything suspicious here. As you say, your AVG already took care of what it found. You may delete anything present in the Vault.

Can you tell me how it's getting in here? Is it through a website or something? I deleted it from the Vault... but I have never seen this before so I don't know how to prevent it from coming in.

Thank you for getting back to me, I really appreciate it!

Yes, most probably via a questionable website.

Please read my prevention page how to prevent this in the future:
