Ok, I reinstalled Windows ME from the CDs bc my computer crashed...I couldnt restore it at all, even with Dells help.

Anyway, I reinstalled the operating system and have moved on the the Drivers Resource CD.

From there, I installed the Notebook System Software and then the only option for Chip Set Drivers: "Intel Mobile Chipset Rev: A09"

After that, Im supposed to install the appropriate Video Driver...this is where I'm stuck. The only option is "Intel Graphics Video Rev: A07", but when I extract it and the installation program begins it says "one or more files required for installation are either missing or corrupt."

What do I do?

Here are the order specifications for my computer:

So I take it that the laptop itself is working again? If so, that is a good thing. From what you have said, all you really need is the drivers for the video card...?

If you visit the Dell Support Page, you will see all the drivers applicable to your laptop. The ATI X300 Mobility is 4th from the bottom (the 5th from the bottom is firmware, but you need the driver). Check to make sure that you don't need any of the other ones...

Let us know how you go...

Alternatively, if the Dell version doesn't work, you can allways go to the ATI/AMD Support Site which have the radeon X300 drivers for Windows MCE.....
