HI EVERYONE
I AM NEW TO THIS SITE BUT THOUGHT ID TRY TO GET HELP ON A MOBO PROBLEM
AND THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE
I HAVE A DEAD MOBO IT IS AN ASUS MOD#P4B533 SOCKET 478
IT SEEMS THIS BOARD HAS A FEATURE TO PREVENT INSTALLING THE WRONG AGP
VIDEO CARD ,BY WAY OF A RED LED
WHEN I inadvertently PLACED THE WRONG CARD I GOT THE WARNING
AFTER SHUTTING DOWN TO INSTALL THE CORRECT CARD
ALL I GET IS THE WARNING LED
NO POST AT ALL
MY QUESTION IS IS THERE A WAY TO RESET ?
I KNOW THAT PART OF THIS SAFE FEATURE ON THIS BOARD IS TO PREVENT POWER
TO THE BOARD IF AGP VOLTAGE IS INCORRECT HOWEVER EVEN WITH A PCI VIDEO CARD
OR NONE AT ALL I CANT GET ANY POST
NO CPU FAN
NO BEEPS
JUST A GREEN POWER LED
AND THE RED AGP WARN LED
THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE
I HAD THIS BOARD A LONG TIME W/NO TROUBLE

You could try clearing the CMOS. There should be instructions for how to do that in the motherboard manual.
