I have had a recurring problem on my PC, recently i upgraded the memory to 256MB and have two hard disks one 5GB that i use as the photoshop temp file scratch-disk and a 40GB on which i have loaded the OS and all other programs.

Problem is whenever i use photoshop it suddenly hangs even if i am working on a small image file. But when i use Corel the comp works fine. My comp is an Intel Celeron clone. Is there a way to resolve this problem?

There could be a number of issues at hand here. The shortest way is to do the following START RUN and type eventvwr. This will open a screen where you can choose from 3 options (Application System and Security) Please check there for red crosses, select them them and post the contents here.
