I keep getting a message that says I need to reinstall a DLL file. The file is
c:\windows\system32\XLIBGFL234.dll. I do not know where to find and
reinstall this file. Any suggestions? Thanks

The only google result that I could find related to a trojan. I'd suggest that you do a free, online scan here: http://safety.live.com

I get this message from McAfee Virus scan:
"Trojan Found: The file C:\WINDOWS\system32\xlib254.dll is infected by Generic Downloader.bt trojan cannot be cleaned"
I tried to quarantine, delete and it tells me to make sure it's not right protected. I did a scan in Safe Mode, and it still didn't allow me to delete it.

The above is the only reference found by googling.
Suggest you do a scan with the two programs below and let us know what was found.

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.
