H there,

I'm having problems with no audio, or an annoying buzzing sound when I'm converting AVI files to dvd format. before converting everything is fine. But strangely some files will convert ok. Never had this problem before and I'm very confused. I believe its a codec problem maybe but I'm not very good with computers so any help will be great.

Is this a general problem or a single file problem? First start off with downloading :

1) KC Softwares Video Inspector
2) GSpot Codec Information Appliance

and render that file. It will tell you whether it is corrupt yes or no. Secondly :

1) Which program do you use to convert and burn
2) Which codec(pack?) you have on board

I used both WINAVI and DVD santa, both having the same problem!

It's across more than one file aswell, nearly all files i have tried suffered the same fate.
Not sure what Codec pack i have, don't know how to find out!!!
G-spot is saying the codec is installed, but now very confused...........

Tried video inspector but it doesn't see the VOB files.!

Go to MY Computer - rightclick propperties hardware the upper radio button
click the upper radio button and double click both audio and video codecs.

Do you have a codec pack installed like K-Lite, All in, or Ace pack codec?

You also use that same programm to burn?

If you play music you don't hear that sound?

I have used NERO to burn and CD burner XP pro3.

Music is fine no broblems with that!

Under Audio codecs i see no codec you listed or any thing that i recognise as one.

Video codecs DIVX 5.2.1 is the only thing i recognise in there.

Thanks for your patience!
