Help....can't Delete User Account

today i tried deleting an account i had made on xp home and i tried this via control panel>user accounts then i went to the account n click delete account, but everytime i do this all that happens is control panel stops responding and i click out and then get an error message that says microsoft ® html application error but when i send it nothing happens either....what is going wrong here and how can i delete this user account?

There should be some info in How to Create and Configure User Accounts in Windows XP that will help.

i know how to delete it, and the user name that i am triyng to delte is not logged on, the problem is control panel freezes up on me everytime i try to delete it....

Try to delete the user account by going to Start/ Run.
Type in control userpasswords2 click Okay. Click on the account name and click Remove.
Note, the built in Administrator account shouldn't and I don't think it can be removed.

okay i will try that, the account i am trying to remove isnt a built in admin account but they are an admin of the computer along with all the other users
