Hi,

Since recently I too have been infected with this very aggrevating 'sexsearch' thing. I have been googling for answers and this was one of the forums I came across which had topics on the same kind of problem. I've read a couple of such topics, specifically this thread. I found it very informative, especially because the help provided was easily accessible and understandable. However, since my own HJT log differs from the poster of that thread, I do not really know which items to delete. Could someone please help me figure out what to do to get rid of this browser hijack? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance,

DSey

This is my own HJT log:

Hi

Some items are disabled in MSCONFIG, and not all your startup items are visible.
Go to Start -> Run -> Type msconfig and press Enter.

Click the Startup tab and check all Startup items or press the Enable All button and Close. Then press the Exit without restart button. Do not reboot your computer.

Run HijackThis and post a new log please.
Everyday is virus day. Do you know where your recovery CDs are ?
Did you create them yet ?
