I have a K8 in this machine but a spare machine thrown together of spare parts with a K7

In case anybody is wondering: K7 is Athlon, Athlon Thunderbird, Athlon XP/MP and Socket A Semprons. Athlon 64, Athlon FX and Semprons on Socket 754 and AM2 are K8

I run K8, K7, and K6 processors. All but the K8 (Athlon64 3000+ but will smoke a P4 64 4GHz) are overclocked. The K6/7 will fry themselves if I use them too much so I mainly use the K8.

Burned up many a P1/2/3 OC'ing got fed up with them

AMD 64 3000+ on this one. So far don't see any need to upgrade...

I'm running a Celeron D 2.93ghz 533fsb overclocked to about 3.2x ghz. My next upgrade will be to step into a P4 2.2 or 2.4 w/HT :flowers:

EDIT: I meant upgrading to a 3.2 or 3.4 with Hyper Threading....not a 2.2 or 2.4

My old computer as me and my friends refer to as "The Beast", is running with an AMD K6-2 333mhz processor. Oh ya we call it the beast because whenever it loads anything it roars, lol

Geode NX 1750 (AMD socket A, equal to 1.4Gz Athlon) low power consumption (14w), low heat (the 1500 Geode is fanless) I wouldn't hestate to buy another one, but I dont think they're made any more. Still have my old 350K6 sittin around too.

No wonder this forum is so popular considering half the members are running their computers into the ground.
