Hi chrizo,
I merged your two threads because this appears to be the same issue. I know you're frustrated and irritated but we ask that you have some patience with us. Someone will get to you as soon as they can and some times it takes quite a while to figure out a solution.

What exactly did you do to try to fix this problem? Did you use HijackThis? If you did please don't try fixing anything else. Wait until you hear from one of us. We need to know what you've done so we'll know what might need to be reversed.

We always did feel the same

We just started from a different point of view

First, You are currently using hijackthis from a temp directory. This can cause problems. Please create a directory on your c: drive called c:\hijackthis and download and unzip hijackthis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on.

Then download and run the file located here. It should fix your exe problem:

http://www.dougknox.com/xp/fileassoc/xp_exe_fix.zip

When it asks if you would like to merge the information say yes.

Then post a new hijackthis log so we can see it
