I have gone through and applied all the steps in removing infections.. I came accross this everything remover called True Sword. Will this report that it generates, make it easier to delete infections from the Registry? Not an expert as of yet, so I am stil in need of some help and advice. I am running Windows Me.

I have never used True Sword, but you are second user I know that tried it. I will have to check it out.
Did you install Family Cyber Alert? It is sold as a keylogger for spying on kids, etc.
What infections have you removed? What programs did you use? Do you have any symptoms of malware?

Unfortunately, you have used an application with which most Members are not experienced. Rather than take a stab at this report's data and suggest changes to your important registry entries, I would suggest that you submit a HJT log to our resident and volunteer team of experts. They will analyze the data on that report and help you get rid of any malware it finds.
You can read the instructions for submitting this report here:

So basicly what Buddy215 is saying, truesword is like SmitFraud like SpySheriff, Spydawn, Ect. :thumbsup: I feel sorry for you man... I'm gonna see what google thinks for a min... Google has many Things saying it says it removes stuff, but then i searched True Sword is Adware and it showed a couple sites saying like adware.something.truesword so i dont know, well it's a double edged sword, is it bad, is it good, i have no clue. And one last thing, can i see a Screenshot of it so i can match it with the google ones.

Screen shot...how would I go about doing that?? As for True Sword it's self...after actually going into the Registry, I quickly found out, that the repoet was false, don't think I found 1 item...lol On a more positive side, the applivation itself allows you 3 fixes for trying it out. So I did that a couple times. After installing and uninstalling it, I basically got rid of all buy 1 item with it. Have to take in consideration that I do know a little about the Tech side of computers. I took a computer that was soo infected, just about every file was curropt in some aspect, didn't even want to turn on. After 1 week, have installed a new (old) OS, after trial and error, the thing is doing really well. Now I get to tackle the CABRO Trojan, this will be interresting. After some research, anyone have thoughts or knowledge on this removal process??

Cabronator Removal Instructions

Kill the following processes
019054a3.exe, 59bfd0a4.exe, 8======d.exe, cabronator!!!.exe, cabronator.exe, cabronator312b.exe, cserver.exe, asdapi.exe

Unregister the following DLLs and reboot
mswsigx.dll in c:\

Remove the following files
019054a3.exe, 59bfd0a4.exe, 8======d.exe, cabronator!!!.exe, cabronator.exe, cabronator312b.exe, cserver.exe, cuidadin.txt, readme.doc.
mswsigx.dll in c:\
asdapi.exe in Windows\

As for turning in a HJT log, I was gonna wait until I believe I have removed them all, done some research on that as well, have not make a mistake as of yet, but as I look into more and more, removing ths Trojan is not all the easy...so we will see.

just a little useless FYI, this hole process of taking a dead computer and with very little knowledge on the subject, making it live again with error would be soo much easier if all I had access to was AOL dial-up!!! Talk about your ssslllooowww mode, anyways......

cool cool,

Dustin

I admire your tenacity. Just wanted to point you to two of the best programs for finding and removing malware. That Cabro trojan has been around for several years.
Wonder how long it has been on that computer! Both of the programs below are free for home users to use.

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.
