G'day
I've rececently upgraded to a new computer, which is running WindowsXP professional.
I've used Hijackthis on Win98 for years, and never had any trouble, but now I've
got a problem with Hijackthis crashing immediately after starting. I've downloded Hijackthis1982, but exactly the same thing happens. Anybody else experienced this?

TIA
Jimi

Rename hijackthis.exe to hjt.exe and see if the problem goes away

G'day
Sorry about the delay getting back, been away for a few days with the family.

I started the thing in safe mode, and HijackThis ran fine. I've created a log file, how do I post it?

Regards
Jimi

Hello jimi.. I am not one of the experts here.. but I have posted my own logs before so I know how to do it. You need to post your HjT log here..HijackThis Logs and Analysis. Click start a new topic and then copy and paste the results of your log into the message field there. Every expert here is a volunteer and it may take some time to get it looked over. The best thing to do is to be patient and don't bump your topic because the way they do the logs there is by which log hasn't been replied to yet.. so it is best not to put any replies in until after you get it read. If you have any more questions post back to this thread here.. :flowers: I hope this helps.
